Adams Storage is putting the finishing touches on a $1-million-plus upgrade to its Tennyson Avenue facility and marks the construction milestone with a name change to better reflect the location and some of its major clients. The 80,000-square-foot, two-floor terminal will now be called Adams Uptown Storage as it serves as a warehouse and inventory feeder system for more than 40 companies, including many of the major retailers at the Uptown development and Mayfair Shopping Centre. Owner Gord Adams, who also has locations in Colwood and Langford, said the new addition on Tennyson makes Adams the Island’s largest supplier of climate-controlled space for businesses and personal mini-storage. The new facility includes office space for clients and advanced security and technology features.
